Position summary
If you know anything about the construction business, then you know that getting the right products to the right site, on-time and safely, are the benchmarks of success. We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL drivers for our Surrey location at 8183 130th Street. who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.
Job requirements
- Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Load and unload materials
- Comply with company and government regulations and rules
- Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
- Match shipments to sales invoices
- Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
- Operate truck safely
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
- Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements
Qualifications
- Class 1/3 CDL with clean driver’s abstract
- Stiff boom experience/crane certification required
- Preferably having at least 3 years of driving experience
- Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
- Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
- Punctual and reliable
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
